AMP NETCONNECT
AMP NETCONNECT is a strategic part of Tyco
Electronics which develops, manufactures, and supplies a comprehensive
range of communications products and systems for customers
in government, education, healthcare, finance, manufacturing
and technology areas. Having established itself as the pre-eminent
provider of optical fibre and twisted-pair copper technologies
for businesses, Tyco Electronics has broadened its AMP NETCONNECT
product portfolio to include a complete line of residential
cabling solutions.

Optical Systems
The AMP NETCONNECT optical systems are high-speed
network systems that fulfil the current and future requirements,
and combine their excellent performance with simple installation.
The system supports Giga- and 10-Gigabit speeds, necessary
for critical backbone networks and existing horizontal optical
technologies. The offer includes the complete product range
of optical components suitable for your network. The AMP NETCONNECT
MM optical cables consist of the best optical fibres developed
to support applications such as Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gigabit
Ethernet, using the newest laser and VCSEL (Vertical Cavity
Surface Emitting Lasers) technology, while they still offer
an increased performance for legacy applications such as FDDI,
or Token Ring. The MM fibre 62.5/125um guarantees Gigabit
Ethernet data transfers, 850nm at a distance of 300m, and
1300nm at a distance of 550m. The MM fibre 50/125um guarantees
Gigabit Ethernet data transfers of both wave lengths, 850nm
and 1300nm up to 600m. Both types of fibres support 10 Gigabit
Ethernet and guarantees transfers over 2000m in slower protocols
such as Fast Ethernet, for example.
Copper Systems (twisted pairs)
As all cables and connectors that form one
system influence quality, AMP decided to prevent potential
problems in this field. By developing and producing all components
for high-performance cabling systems of categories 5/5e, 6,
and 7 in compliance with the recommended world standards,
such as TIA/EIA-568-B.2-1. Moreover, the system parameters
are tested by the independent organisation, ETL (Intertek

Warranty
AMP relies on its partners that operate
in different parts of the world. These partners, called the
ND&Is, are able to design and install your high quality
network. They are trained in the AMP international training
centres in accordance with the strict internal quality standards
of AMP. ORGA - TRADE, Inc. is contract ND&I partner of AMP
in Slovakia, and this contract allows us to offer a 25-year
end user warranty for the whole system, and guarantee the
installed cabling systems are compliant with valid standards.
